The Immigrant Services Program (ISP) of Catholic Charities Tompkins/Tioga assists and advocates for immigrants to attain family unity, economic independence and social integration.

LawNY – Ithaca-Tompkins County\

Legal Assistance of Western New York, Inc.®  (LawNY®) provides free legal aid to people with civil legal problems. If you are having a legal problem with a person or agency, and it is not a criminal matter, LawNY® may be able to give you help or advice. Here are some examples of legal problems that LawNY® often handles:

-Your landlord is threatening to evict you.

-You have been denied Unemployment Insurance benefits.

-You have been denied Public Assistance.

-You are facing foreclosure on your home.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, and referrals to community services for low-income pregnant and post-partum women and their children under five years of age. Breastfeeding support is available.

Child Development Council 
Serving Tompkins and Cortland counties, the mission of the Child Development Council is to promote the healthy development of children and families at home, in child care and in the community. Resources for parents, expectant parents, and child care providers. Among other thiings, they can help with information about child care options and costs, help you find licensed and registered child care providers.
Their quarterly newsletter for parents is a useful resource.

The goal of the Advocacy Center is to help reduce the trauma that results from domestic violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse. We provide services for:
Children and teens who have been sexually abused, sexually harassed or raped
Adults who have been sexually assaulted, raped or harassed
Adult survivors of child sexual abuse
Adults who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused or stalked by an intimate partner
Teenagers who have experienced dating violence or have been stalked
